Description
When your brake pedal starts getting that spongy feel or you notice it sinking toward the floor, don’t ignore it. Your brake master cylinder is what turns that pedal pressure into the hydraulic force that stops your loaded tractor, and when it fails, you’re in real trouble. This replacement gets your brakes back to that firm, responsive feel you need when hauling heavy loads down steep hills or making emergency stops.
What You’re Getting
- Precision-machined bore that delivers consistent brake pressure every time you press the pedal
- Heavy-duty seals designed specifically for LHM mineral hydraulic fluid – never use regular brake fluid
- Robust casting that won’t crack under the extreme pressures of panic stops with heavy implements
- Direct replacement design that uses your existing brake lines and mounting points
Built for Real Farm Work
This master cylinder fits the workhorses of many farm operations – Ford New Holland TM and TL series tractors, Fiat M and L series, and Case JX tractors. Whether you’re pulling loaded grain carts during harvest, running a loader for daily chores, or hauling heavy implements between fields, these machines need brakes that respond instantly when you need them most.
Made to Last
Farm tractors put brake systems through serious abuse – constant pressure cycles, temperature extremes, and contamination from dust and moisture. This master cylinder uses precision-honed cylinders and quality seals that maintain proper pressure even after thousands of brake applications. The corrosion-resistant construction handles everything from freezing winter mornings to scorching summer heat under the hood.
Critical Installation Notes
This system requires LHM mineral hydraulic fluid only – using standard DOT brake fluid will destroy the seals and cause complete brake failure. Bench-bleed the cylinder before installation to prevent air pockets, and clean all brake line connections thoroughly. After installation, bleed the entire system starting with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder and test your brakes at low speed before getting back to work.
