Description
When you’re pushing hay all day or pulling a cultivator in hot weather, the last thing you need is your David Brown overheating in the middle of the field. This upper radiator hose is the main coolant line that carries hot coolant from your engine to the radiator – and when it starts to crack or bulge, you’re looking at expensive downtime during the busiest times of the year.
What You’re Getting
- Heavy-duty rubber construction that handles high-temperature coolant without breaking down
- Reinforced with textile cord to prevent the ballooning that kills cheaper hoses
- Precision-molded shape fits perfectly without kinking or creating flow restrictions
- Direct replacement design – no modifications or adapters needed
- Compatible with standard ethylene glycol coolant mixtures you’re already using
Built for Real Farm Work
Your David Brown 990, 995, or 1390 series tractor was built for versatile farm work – from row crop cultivation to hay operations and loader work around the farmyard. These mid-horsepower workhorses need reliable cooling when you’re running equipment hard, and the upper radiator hose handles the hottest coolant in the system, so it takes more abuse than any other cooling component.
Made to Last
This hose uses a rubber compound that stays flexible even after years of heat cycling from cold morning startups to full operating temperature. The reinforcement prevents the ballooning that kills cheaper hoses, and the molded shape eliminates sharp bends that cause premature cracking.
Installation Notes
Always let the engine cool completely before removing the old hose – hot coolant can cause serious burns. Clean the hose connections thoroughly and use new clamps if the old ones are rusty. Position clamps away from curved sections to prevent cutting into the hose, and check for leaks once the engine reaches operating temperature.
