Installation Notes
Replacing a disc bearing assembly is manageable with basic tools, but you’ll need to mark the gang position before disassembly to maintain proper disc spacing and remove the entire gang shaft to access the failed bearing. Clean everything thoroughly – old grease mixed with dirt is like grinding paste, and check the shaft for wear where the bearing rides since a grooved shaft will quickly destroy your new bearing. Pack the bearing with quality disc bearing grease, not general purpose grease.
