Description

If you’ve got an M&W Earthmaster disc harrow that’s starting to wobble or making that grinding sound that makes your teeth hurt, this trunnion bearing assembly is what you need to get your tillage tool cutting clean and smooth again. When bearings start failing, you’ll hear the noise and feel the vibration – and that’s your cue to stop work before things get worse and more expensive. This complete assembly gives you everything needed to rebuild that worn disc gang and get back to proper seedbed preparation.

What You’re Getting

  • Complete bearing assembly with 1-5/8 inch bore for the disc axle shaft
  • Heavy-duty cast housing built to handle the side loads and impacts of field work
  • Precision-sealed disc bearing designed to keep dirt out and grease in where it belongs
  • Proper ear dimensions (1-3/8 inch length and O.D.) for secure mounting
  • Direct replacement that bolts right in without modifications

Built for Real Farm Work

M&W Earthmaster disc harrows have been breaking ground and incorporating crop residue for decades, earning a reputation for durability in tough field conditions. These machines handle everything from light disking to heavy residue incorporation, whether you’re working corn stubble or preparing ground for spring planting. Your disc harrow is built to handle tough field conditions – cutting through corn stalks, incorporating residue, and preparing seedbeds.

Made to Last

This bearing assembly is built to withstand the punishment that comes with tillage work – dirt, moisture, impact loads, and the constant vibration of cutting through varying soil conditions. The castings are built heavy to handle the side loads and impacts, while the bearing itself is designed specifically for disc applications, with superior sealing to keep contaminants out.

Installation Notes

Replacing a disc bearing assembly is manageable with basic tools, but you’ll need to mark the gang position before disassembly to maintain proper disc spacing and remove the entire gang shaft to access the failed bearing. Clean everything thoroughly – old grease mixed with dirt is like grinding paste, and check the shaft for wear where the bearing rides since a grooved shaft will quickly destroy your new bearing. Pack the bearing with quality disc bearing grease, not general purpose grease.
