Description
When you’re running PTO equipment that could see sudden overloads—like hitting a rock with your rotary cutter or catching a fence post with your brush hog—you need a yoke that’s smart enough to break before it breaks something expensive. This ball shear tractor yoke is designed to be your first line of defense, protecting your tractor’s PTO and implement from costly damage when things go sideways in the field.
What You’re Getting
- Ball shear safety mechanism that breaks away under overload before damage reaches your tractor or implement
- Safety slide lock keeps everything secure during normal operation but allows quick disconnect when needed
- 1-3/8″ diameter with 6 spline configuration for solid power transfer and wide tractor compatibility
- 2500 series rating handles medium-duty implements without being overkill for smaller equipment
- Quality Weasler construction means this yoke will handle daily farm work season after season
Built for Real Farm Work
This yoke fits right in the middle of the PTO power range—perfect for tractors from about 50-100 horsepower running implements like rotary cutters, hay tedders, post hole augers, and other equipment where sudden loads can happen. The 1-3/8″ x 6 spline setup is one of the most common PTO configurations, found on everything from utility tractors to mid-size row crop machines.
Made to Last
Weasler builds their yokes to take the punishment of real farm work. The forged steel construction handles the torque loads and vibration that come with PTO operation, while the ball shear mechanism is engineered to trigger at the right load—not too sensitive to trip during normal work, but quick enough to save your equipment when trouble hits.
Good to Know
The ball shear device is replaceable, so when it does its job and breaks, you can get back to work with a new shear ball rather than buying a whole new yoke. Keep a few spare shear balls on hand—they’re cheap insurance compared to rebuilding a gearbox. The safety slide lock should move freely, so give it a shot of grease occasionally to keep it working smoothly.
