Description
When your steering starts feeling sloppy or you notice the tractor wandering on the road, worn track rod ends are often the culprit. This track rod end connects critical parts of your steering system, translating every turn of your steering wheel into tire movement. It’s not just about comfort – loose steering is dangerous when you’re operating near ditches or working on hillsides.
What You’re Getting
- Purpose-built for farm work with forged steel construction that resists bending under heavy steering loads
- 105mm overall length with 13/16″ x 16 TPI outer thread for precise fit
- Regular grease fitting that flushes out dirt and moisture to keep the joint working smoothly
- Hardened ball and socket maintain precise fit despite constant movement and prevent dangerous looseness
Built for Real Farm Work
This track rod end fits a wide range of Massey Ferguson tractors from the versatile 100 series utility tractors through the 2200 series compact models. Whether you’re mowing pastures, cultivating row crops, running a loader, or pulling wagons to market, these tractors demand precise steering for safe operation around buildings, livestock, and expensive equipment.
Made to Last
This isn’t a car part dressed up for tractor use – it’s purpose-built for the punishment of farm work. The forged steel construction handles the constant stress from steering forces, road shock, and implement loads that agricultural work demands season after season.
Good to Know
Always replace track rod ends in pairs – if one’s worn out, the other isn’t far behind. Before removing the old end, measure its position or count the threads showing so you can set the new one close to the same spot. Use a proper ball joint separator to remove the old end; hammering on the steering arm can damage it. Grease these joints every 50 hours or monthly – more often if you’re working in muddy conditions.
