Installation Notes

Apply a thin coat of clean oil to the gasket before installation, then hand-tighten only 3/4 turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface. Over-tightening can damage the gasket and cause leaks. Always clean the mounting surface before installing the new filter, and check your oil level after the change.
