Recommended Use

This kit is ideal for seasonal maintenance, annual tune-ups, and preventative service on Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 160 Series engines. Replacing the air filter, spark plug, oil, and treating the fuel helps improve starting, engine performance, and long-term reliability.

Installation Tips

• Service the engine on a level surface with the engine off and cool.
• Disconnect the spark plug wire before beginning maintenance.
• Drain used oil completely before refilling with fresh SAE 15W-50 oil.
• Do not overfill the crankcase. Check oil level with the dipstick per your engine manual.
• Replace the air filter if it is dirty, oil-soaked, damaged, or restricted.
• Install the new spark plug carefully and avoid cross-threading.
• Add fuel stabilizer to fresh fuel to help protect against ethanol-related fuel system issues.
