Description
You know that black exhaust smoke or loss of power when you’re pushing through thick fall foliage or working in dusty grain harvest conditions isn’t just normal wear and tear. A clogged filter reduces airflow and makes your climate control system work harder and less efficiently. This outer air filter element is the first line of defense for your Maxxum’s engine, catching the big stuff before it can damage the inner element or worse, make it into your engine where it’ll cost you real money.
What You’re Getting
- Heavy-duty pleated design that captures dust, chaff, and debris while maintaining proper airflow to your engine
- Pre-filter element that extends the life of your inner filter by doing the heavy lifting on larger particles
- OEM-quality construction that handles the temperature swings and vibration of real farm work
- Direct fit replacement that installs without modifications or special tools
Built for Real Farm Work
Maxxum and MX series tractors are the do-everything machines on many farms. Your Maxxum might start the day on the feed mixer, switch to loader work by noon, and finish up pulling a disc in the afternoon. Whether you’re running a 5130 through dusty corn stubble or pushing your 5140 through a long cultivation day, these mid-range workhorses need clean air to keep delivering the power you count on.
Made to Last
Farm air filters take a beating from everything Mother Nature throws at them—from fine dust that gets into everything to heavy chaff during harvest that can clog a cheap filter in hours. This outer element is built with quality filter media and a sturdy frame that won’t collapse under pressure or fall apart when you’re cleaning it for reuse.
Installation Notes
This outer element works as part of a two-stage system, so don’t forget to check your inner filter while you’re at it. Replace your air filter at least once per season, or more frequently during dusty operations like heavy tillage or grain harvest. The outer element can often be cleaned and reused a few times, but when the pleats start looking permanently dirty or damaged, it’s time for a new one.
