Installation Notes

Replace this filter every time you change the oil—it’s cheap insurance for an expensive engine. The new O-ring is critical for a leak-free seal, so don’t reuse the old one even if it looks okay. Hand-tighten the filter housing until the O-ring contacts the sealing surface, then snug it down with a filter wrench, but don’t overtighten or you’ll damage the threads.
