Good to Know

Valve replacement requires removing the cylinder head, so it’s a good time to check valve guides and seats while you’re in there. If you’re doing a full engine rebuild, you’ll need four valves for the 175 CID four-cylinder engine or six valves for the 262 CID six-cylinder version. Don’t forget to check valve clearances when you reassemble everything.
