Description
When your Case 430, 530, or 600 starts sounding like a freight train instead of the reliable workhorse it should be, you know it’s time for a new muffler. These vintage tractors have earned their stripes over decades of farm work, and a blown-out exhaust system doesn’t just make noise—it affects engine performance and makes those long days in the field a lot less comfortable. This horizontal replacement muffler brings back the civilized operation these tractors had when new.
What You’re Getting
- 2-1/8 inch inlet and 2-1/4 inch outlet designed for proper exhaust flow on gas and diesel engines
- 18-1/2 inch overall length with round body construction that fits the original mounting configuration
- Horizontal orientation that matches your tractor’s factory exhaust layout—no modifications needed
- Durable steel construction built to handle the temperature swings and vibration of farm work
Built for Real Farm Work
This muffler fits Case 600 series tractors from 1957-1958 in both gas and diesel versions, plus 430 and 530 gas models with serial numbers 8191148 and up from 1962-1969, and 430 and 530 diesel tractors up to serial number 8262800 from 1960-1966. These utility tractors were workhorses for mixed farming operations—from cultivating and planting to hay work and loader duties. It also fits LCK 530 industrial units that saw service in construction and municipal work.
Made to Last
The steel construction and proper internal baffling are designed to handle the exhaust temperatures and back pressure requirements of these vintage engines. Whether you’re running on gas or diesel, this muffler maintains the proper exhaust flow characteristics that keep your engine running efficiently while reducing noise to acceptable levels.
Installation Notes
This is a direct replacement that bolts up to your existing exhaust pipe using the original clamps and hardware. Before installation, check your exhaust pipe condition—old pipes often crack or rust through, especially where they connect to the manifold. A little penetrating oil on the old clamps makes removal much easier, and it’s worth replacing clamps and gaskets while you’re at it for a leak-free installation.
