Description
When you’re putting serious miles on your Peterbilt and breathing in highway dust, construction site debris, or whatever the road throws at you, your engine needs every bit of protection it can get. A clogged or damaged air filter lets dirt straight into your engine’s cylinders where it acts like sandpaper on pistons and rings. This Baldwin air filter is built to handle the punishment that comes with over-the-road trucking and keeps your engine breathing clean.
What You’re Getting
- Large 17-1/2 inch length with 12-3/4 inch diameter for maximum dirt-holding capacity in big truck engines
- High-efficiency pleated media that traps dust and debris while maintaining the airflow your engine demands
- Dual gasket system with attached A-gasket and included F-gasket for proper sealing in the housing
- Heavy-duty construction built to handle constant vibration and temperature swings of highway operation
- Baldwin quality that’s trusted by truckers who can’t afford breakdowns on the road
Built for Real Truck Work
This filter is designed specifically for Peterbilt trucks that log serious highway miles and work in demanding conditions. Whether you’re running long-haul routes, pulling heavy loads through mountain passes, or working construction sites where dust is thick, this filter handles the contamination load that comes with putting a truck to work for a living.
Made to Last
Trucking means exposure to more dust, debris, and operating hours than typical vehicles ever see. Baldwin has been making quality filters for decades, and this one’s built to handle the harsh conditions your equipment faces every day. The pleated filter media captures fine particles while the robust construction stands up to engine vibration, temperature swings, and the constant airflow demands of hard-working engines. Quality materials mean consistent performance throughout the service interval.
Installation Notes
This is a direct replacement filter that installs with standard tools. While you’ve got the air cleaner housing open, take a minute to clean out any accumulated debris and check the housing for cracks or damage. In extremely dusty conditions like harvest or tillage work, you might need to change filters more frequently than normal service intervals suggest. The dual gasket setup ensures a proper seal – make sure both gaskets are properly seated before buttoning everything up.
